To help ensure the safe packing of your goods into store we have listed a few guidelines to help you. Please note that if you are unsure, the staff at Container Safe Ltd are always happy to help and give advice when needed.
Pack all small items into boxes, leave nothing loose. Ensure that tops of boxes are flat so they can be stacked. All appliances should be clean and dry. Fridges/freezers should be thoroughly defrosted and dried out and the doors should be left open whilst in store. China and glass items should be wrapped individually in paper or bubble wrap with the heavier items at the bottom and lighter ones at the top.
Furniture, where possible, should be disassembled and wrapped. A plastic or cardboard sheet should be placed on the floor to protect items such as beds and sofas. Mirrors and paintings should be stored on their edge and well wrapped. Bicycles, garden tools and other metal items can be wiped with a few drops of oil on a rag to prevent rust.
